SOLVING GEOMETRIC PROGRAMMING PROBLEMS WITH VISUAL BASIC PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE

Abstract

The best way to solve non-linear programming problems is to apply the efficient tool of geometric programming methods, which have been studied by many since it was first introduced in the 60s by Duffins, R. J. In this paper, we developed software using visual basic programming language to solve unconstrained industrial model geometric programming problems and ensure a virtual display of the result. The authentication was confirmed using several benchmark examples of geometric programming problems modeled by many standard textbooks. The model was simulated very efficiently, with results printed out successfully.
