FEED THE FUTURE NIGERIA INTEGRATED AGRICULTURE ACTIVITY
FOOTPRINTS OF YOUTH AND WOMEN ENGAGEMENT IN ECONOMIC AND ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITIES, NORTHEAST NIGERIA
Abstract
T his report was developed and published as a documentary legacy and reference material on the implementation details of the youth and women engagement and interventions in economic and entrepreneurial activities, under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded and International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) implemented Feed the Future Nigeria Integrated Agriculture Activity (NIAA), in northeast Nigeria. The publication is an abridged technical report of implementation activities on youth and women entrepreneurship development in the agricultural value chain and non-farm enterprises, in twelve local government areas of Borno and Adamawa states, Nigeria between 2019 and 2022, with cost extension to 2024 in Gombe and Yobe States. The publication is meant to preserve the gains of the Activity’s implementation approach and models, and also serve as a useful guide to future implementing partners (IPs), small-scale entrepreneurs, youth and gender enthusiasts, development actors, enterprise development service providers, students and researchers on the subject matter.Keywords:
