Abstract

This paper try to highlight the activities of Shahuci-Yakasai older peoples home and range of institutional care that supposed to be given since older persons have a range of care needs. Therefore concept of aged Person, Needs of Institutional Care, Care of the Old People, Activities of Shahuci Old People’s Home, forms of Institutional Care provided to older People were all discussed. In addition a recommendation was made which include:  government and stakeholders should develop positive attitudes towards the policies concerning older people welfare. Specific needs of the elderly deserve a specific attention which in turns necessitate the need of trained personnel and expertise to handle them. The paper concluded that there are many inmate, institutional care needs at the older peoples’ home. These needs should be identified and supported through appropriate means.
