The finding shows that religon, voting patterns and ethnicity significantly affect the outcome of the 2023 general election in Nigeria. Based on the findings, the study recommended that, Nigeria should discard the belief and notion of three (3) main ethnic groups officially recognized (Hausa, Igbo & Yoruba) in order to give the numerous ethnic groups identity and media should support the formation of an inclusive government, cutting across tribes and religion in the country to reduce the negative impact of ethnicity and religion in the country.
