LA LANGUE FRANÇAISE: PROMOTRICE DE DEVELOPPEMENT NATIONAL

Abstract

Language skills have become indispensable in the world. With the expansion of international organisations and their close links with the complex phenomenon of globalisation, languages are in greater demand than ever before, and the demand for linguistic and communication skills is constantly increasing. French remains a resource and an instrument of development policy, and is the ninth most widely spoken language in the world. At present, the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) predicts that French will soon be spoken by seven hundred (700) million people. As a language with a universal vocation, French as a foreign language is the existence of French in non-French-speaking countries. The aim of this article is to shed light on the role of the French language in national development, especially as a foreign language. Résumé Les connaissances en langues sont devenues indispensables dans le monde. Avec l’élargissement des organisations internationales et l’étroite liaison avec le phénomène complexe de la mondialisation, les langues sont davantage recherchées qu’autrefois et la demande de compétences linguistiques et communicationnelles est en constante augmentation. Le français reste quant à lui une ressource et un instrument d’une politique de développement et la neuvième langue la plus parlée dans le monde. À présent, l'Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) prévoit sept cent (700) millions de locuteurs d’ici peu. En tant qu’une langue à vocation universelle, le français langue étrangère est l'existence du français dans les pays non francophones. L’objectif de cet article est de jeter la lumière sur le rôle de la langue française dans le développement national surtout en tant qu’une langue étrangère.
