PREVALENCE OF TYPHOID FEVER AMONG CITIZENS OF GOMBE STATE
PERCEPTION OF THE RULERS AND RULED FROM THE PERSPECTIVES OF SHARĪ’AH
Abstract
Typhoid fever is one of the prevalence illnesses that bothers the lives of Gombe Citizens. It is one of the diseases that even lead to dead in some cases. Studies have shown how it mostly affects the developing world frequently. This paper adopted a quantitative method of data collection and have found out some lapses of both the ruler and the ruled on typhoid fever in Gombe. This study have investigated the adoption and application of basic life rules and regulation that will help to enhance the wellbeing of the individual in Gombe state. Both the rulers and ruled have a collective responsibility in order to have harmonious life. It is the duty of the ruler to provide all the necessary amenities for the welfare of the subjects. The ruler must maintain law and order, govern the nation, protects the people, provide resources and services and promote citizens’ rights and welfare. While the subject are bound to obey the rules stipulated in all aspects of life. However, the result indicate a negligence attitude by both the subjects and the rulers. Thus, the research suggested an effort towards making a strong rules by the leaders to help the subjects adjust themselves and comply with the order, while the rulers adhere to discharge their duties towards the subjects as prescribed by Islamic legislations.
